Morning: Active Play and Exploration
Children start their day with structured and free play, allowing them to:
- Explore sensory activities like water tables, sand, and textures
- Engage in creative arts with paints, clay, and music
- Develop motor skills through indoor and outdoor play
Our educators guide children through activities that encourage curiosity and problem-solving, while fostering social interaction and cooperation.
Midday: Nutritious Meals and Quiet Time
A healthy lunch and snacks are provided daily, following Canada’s Food Guide and PEI Healthy Eating Guidelines. The Centre maintains a peanut-free environment and accommodates special dietary needs, ensuring every child can enjoy meals safely.
After lunch, children have a chance for rest or quiet activities, giving them time to recharge for the afternoon.
Afternoon: Learning Through Play and Discovery
Afternoon activities are designed to stimulate creativity and learning, including:
- Storytime and literacy activities to build language skills
- Science and nature exploration to spark curiosity about the world
- Group games that encourage teamwork and problem-solving
Every activity is guided by our philosophy that children learn best through play, and our classrooms are set up to provide a variety of experiences that support this approach.
Family Involvement
Merry Pop-Ins values family participation as a key part of a child’s early learning experience. Parents are encouraged to:
