At Merry Pop-Ins Childcare Centre, we believe that children learn best through play. Our programs are designed to nurture each child’s curiosity, creativity, and social development in a safe and engaging environment.
Why Play Matters
Play is more than just fun—it is a vital part of early childhood development. Through play, children develop:
- Cognitive skills like problem-solving and critical thinking
- Social skills such as sharing, cooperation, and empathy
- Physical skills through movement and exploration
By incorporating play into our daily routines, we help children build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Our Approach
Merry Pop-Ins is a licensed Early Years Centre in Prince Edward Island, committed to high-quality care for children ages 0–5. Our educators use developmentally appropriate practices to create meaningful experiences for every child.
Our classrooms are designed to be stimulating and welcoming, with spaces for:
- Creative arts and crafts
- Storytelling and literacy activities
- Outdoor exploration and physical play
- Quiet time for reflection and rest
Healthy and Nutritious Meals
We understand that nutrition supports learning and growth. Our Centre provides balanced meals and snacks every day, following Canada’s Food Guide and PEI Healthy Eating Guidelines. All beverages are provided, and we maintain a peanut-free environment to keep children safe.

Partnering With Families
We know that family involvement strengthens children’s experiences. Merry Pop-Ins offers opportunities for parents to:
- Join our Parent Advisory Committee
- Volunteer for classroom activities and field trips
- Participate in workshops and community events
Our Open Door Policy ensures that parents are always welcome to visit, ask questions, and share feedback.
Creating a Community of Care
At Merry Pop-Ins, we are more than a childcare centre—we are a community built together. From our dedicated educators to engaged families, everyone plays a part in helping children grow, explore, and thrive.
