Merry Pop-Ins Childcare Inc. is owned and managed by Neal Viger and Helen Green (est. 2005). Helen and Neal returned from Japan with their children (2 and 3) with the idea to start a childcare centre on the South Shore of PEI. We started with 7 children and one employee. Today we offer childcare services up to 67 children in 2 different locations. Helen and Neal work closely with the Directors and Educators of MPI to offer the best care for children 0 -12 years old and our team.

Helen Green has a BA in Recreation Management, MA in Integrated Services. Over the past 30 years she has worked with diverse ages in different capacities such as Katimavik, Project DARE, and Cornwall Parks and Recreation, and Study Abroad Canada Language Institute.

Neal Viger has a BSc in Recreation Management, was a co-owner of NLR Developments Ltd. (1986), a residential construction company, and is co-owner of Merry Pop-Ins Childcare Centre Inc. 2005.  He has worked with youth and adults in settings such as Big Brothers/Sisters, Sir Frederick Fraser School for the Blind in Halifax, Halifax Region Scout Camp, and as an ESL teacher in Japan.  He also has 30 years’ experience in residential construction.
